At IAE NANCY, there are a number of student commitment schemes to encourage students to get involved in community, sporting, cultural or professional activities.
Among them, the expression – theatre commitment. 🎭
Basma, a student on the IAE NANCY / IUT Nancy-Charlemagne double degree course, is a member of the IAE troupe and tells us about her passion for theatre, which she has been practising for several years, and how the IAE now enables her to continue practising this activity alongside her studies.
IAE NANCY encourages and values student commitment!
The University School of Management offers students 3 types of commitment in which they can invest themselves:
Civic involvement, which encourages voluntary work in associations, voluntary work (e.g. fire brigade), but also specific statuses such as top-level sportsmen and women, student entrepreneurs, etc.
The Culture Commitment gives students easier access to Nancy’s cultural institutions, in partnership with the Théâtre de la Manufacture, the Musée des Beaux-arts, the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine and Nancy’s Caméo cinema.
The expression commitment involves students taking drama classes, improving their oratory skills and showcasing them at the annual Eloquence competition and in the performance of a short play in front of an audience of around 300 people.
151 committed IAE NANCY students in 2025: with the academic knowledge gained from their university training, they are also committed, open-minded future professionals, developing behavioural skills / soft skills that enhance their profile, formalised at IAE NANCY on individual certificates listing the skills acquired by the student, the future professional.
