CSR: A commitment at the heart of IAE NANCY’s actions
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is now a key issue in our society. IAE NANCY, as part of the University of Lorraine, cannot remain on the sidelines of this dynamic because of its key role in training tomorrow’s managers. Our institution, aware of its role and its impact on society, has chosen to commit to a CSR approach and to place the issues at the heart of its development strategy.
CSR is not just a question of regulatory compliance or an administrative constraint, it is above all a deep-seated conviction that drives our organisation to feel responsible and to commit to a more sustainable transformation process, placing people and the environment at the heart of its concerns.
By integrating CSR issues into all our activities, our component aims to :
Training managers and, above all, responsible citizens: By raising our students’ awareness of environmental, social and economic issues, we prepare them to meet the environmental and social challenges of tomorrow’s world.
Acting for a sustainable future: By supporting our students’ community initiatives and our staff’s proposals for actions to promote the ecological transition, or social commitment and solidarity, we are contributing to the emergence of concrete solutions.
Improving the quality of working life for our students and staff: By listening to their needs and providing appropriate solutions at both individual and collective levels, we are committed to co-creating a stimulating and caring working environment.
Anchoring our university in its local area: By working with local players, we contribute to the economic and social development of our local area.
Together, students, staff and partners, we can build this future. By committing ourselves to this initiative, we are demonstrating our determination to make IAE Nancy a key player in the transition to a more responsible and humane economy.
The Equality – Diversity – Inclusion (EDI) mission
The aim of the Equality – Diversity – Inclusion (EDI) mission at the Université de Lorraine is to combat discrimination and violence based primarily on sex, gender identity, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability or sexual orientation. Internally, this objective focuses on preserving community life. Externally, it aims to provide a response, through research, to the questions raised by these forms of inequality and to prepare, through training, future citizens and professionals who are both open to the world and its diversity, and who know how to prevent discrimination.
IAE Nancy has an active EDI unit made up of teachers, administrative staff and students. Its work is divided into two main areas:
the first part concerns actions to promote diversity from a gender perspective. The aim is to promote equal opportunities in the various courses of study, in their career orientation and in their integration into employment; to reduce discrimination; and to promote inclusion.
the second part concerns the fight against sexist and sexual violence (SGBV), harassment and discrimination. With this in mind, the Université de Lorraine has set up a system for listening to and dealing with situations of internal violence(stop-violences@univ-lorraine.fr). Communication and awareness-raising campaigns are regularly organised to encourage people to speak out and report violence, whatever its nature or seriousness.
The unit can be contacted as a first point of contact to receive complaints, investigate cases and establish the most appropriate preventive educational measures possible. You can contact us at iae-nancy-edi-contact@univ-lorraine.fr.
