Studying abroad

Where to go?

The IAE NANCY is part of a strong international dynamic, promoting academic and professional exchanges throughout the world. Whether we are integrating international students or accompanying our students and staff abroad, our commitment is clear: to train managers and researchers who are open, mobile and ready to meet the challenges of a globalised environment.

IAE Nancy has a structured network of partner universities:

  • More than 40 partner universities in Europe, in over 20 countries, as part of the Erasmus+ programme

  • Bilateral agreements outside Europe allowing mobility in:
    • North America (Canada, United States),
    • Latin America (Brazil, Chile),
    • Asia (India, Japan).

Gaining in maturity

Who is it for?

Academic mobility is open to :

  • students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (L2-L3),
  • Master’s students (M1 and, depending on agreements, M2).

Eligibility depends on the programme followed and the agreements signed with the partner university.

When should you leave?

Departures are possible :

  • Semester 1 (September to December-January)
Application deadline -> early February of the same year

  • Semester 2 (January/February to June/July)
Application deadline -> early September of the previous year

  • The full academic year
Application deadline -> beginning of February of the same year

How do you choose your destination?

The choice of destination is based on :

  • level of study (L2, L3, M1, M2),
  • training at IAE NANCY,
  • the proposed language of instruction,
  • the student’s academic and career plans.

The support provided by the International Relations Department helps direct students to the most appropriate partners.

Step-by-step procedures

I attend the international forum organised in September by the International Relations department, learn about the IAE’s partner universities and read the experience reports written by students who have returned from mobility.

I fill in the application form, which can be downloaded from the IAE website, and send it back to the International Department by email (in September for a departure in S2 and in February for a departure in S1 of the following year). I put together my study plan, choosing subjects for a total of 30 ECTS credits or 15 Canadian or American credits per semester of mobility, write a covering letter and a CV, and provide my transcripts from previous years.

I register with the partner university, send an e-mail to my degree coordinator and Ms LAMBERT requesting validation of my learning agreement, register with Mobility Online and submit all the documents needed to draw up my mobility contract and apply for a grant, look for accommodation and organise my travel.

Now it’s time to discover, learn, meet people, travel… and sit the exams. I don’t forget to have any changes to my study contract approved by my degree supervisor and Mme LAMBERT, and I’m following the payment of my grant.

With my transcript, which I promptly send to Ms JASMIN, I provide the documents needed to close my scholarship file, and I let my successors benefit from my experience by writing a report that they can consult to benefit from valuable information on all the steps to take and the good deals not to be missed! I validate my semester and I think… about leaving again!

Mobility grants and assistance

All mobile students receive a grant. Students with a grant keep their CROUS grant during their mobility.

There are several types of aid:

  • the Erasmus+ grant for European mobility
  • the AMI scholarship for students with grants
  • the AMOBUL grant for students who do not have a grant and are moving outside Europe

Possibility of assistance with green mobility (car-sharing, bus, etc.).

Students wishing to embark on an academic mobility project benefit from administrative support for the financial procedures.

Internships abroad

If you are doing a MANDATORY work placement of at least 2 months’ duration during your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, please contact the International Relations Department to check whether you are eligible for mobility assistance.

IAE NANCY diplomas deployed abroad

IAE NANCY sets up courses directly in partner universities or institutions abroad. These programmes abroad enable international students to follow training to IAE standards without having to travel to France, while benefiting from a recognised diploma.

We currently offer three programmes abroad.
