Presentation

The aim of the Master’s in Business Administration and Management (MAE) is to provide a generalist education in organisational management, enabling non-specialists, students undergoing initial training, managers in employment or changing careers, to acquire additional or dual skills in management sciences to facilitate their professional integration and/or career development.

This course is recognised and appreciated by companies seeking to fill positions requiring both expertise in a particular field (law, economics, psychosociology, engineering, pharmacy, IT, etc.) and a general knowledge of management tools and methods. The course is also sought after by people from public or voluntary organisations who need to strengthen their managerial skills and implement management tools and approaches.

The MAE Master’s degree is aimed at students from :

  • Initial Training (IT)
  • Continuing Education (CE)
    • employees currently working in healthcare, medical-social and social care settings
    • employees undergoing retraining
    • jobseekers

For the latter, the master’s degree is a way of developing a reflexive approach to their practices, validating their skills and updating them, particularly with a view to internal or external promotions.

The Master 2 MAE is open to continuing education in the classroom and by distance learning (E-learning).

Objectives

The course aims to :

  • The development of generalist knowledge in the various management disciplines: strategy, production, marketing, finance-control, human resources, project management, etc.
  • Mastery of management tools, approaches and techniques – general or specific depending on the specialism – to assist in decision-making and steering the organisation.
  • The development of management skills through a cross-disciplinary vision of the workings and challenges of organisations and a professional orientation to the courses taught.

The generalist content of the course is structured by major management science disciplines, each corresponding to a course unit: Accounting-Finance/HRM/Marketing/Production and Projects/Quantitative Tools/Strategy/Corporate Law/Control and Information.

This course is part of our students’ participation in the Grand Concours de la Filière Comptable de Lorraine, an annual event that brings together teams from different accountancy training courses in Lorraine to compare their skills and knowledge of the different areas related to public accounting (economics, accounting, law, etc.).
