Economic globalisation, financial globalisation and an enlarged Europe have created a context that is highly favourable to trade and direct investment abroad. The LEA International Business and Strategy Master’s degree is a response to these realities, offering students a high-level, multi-disciplinary course with a strong international focus. It opens up prospects for careers combining technical management skills (marketing, financial analysis, logistics, etc.), managerial abilities and strategic vision in a globalised environment.
Two foreign languages – English and a B language (German, Spanish, Italian, Russian or Polish) – are at the heart of the curriculum.
Objectives
This degree provides students with high-level training (executives and managers) specialising in major world markets.
The general aim of the course is threefold:
optimise students’ linguistic, intercultural and interpersonal skills. and interpersonal skills,
establish the economic and technical knowledge and skills (applied subjects: management, information tools, etc.) that will facilitate students’ access to French and foreign markets,
familiarise students with the world of work, particularly the business world, thanks to the active collaboration of professionals (particularly in Master 2) and internships, which aim to prepare students directly for professional integration.
This course opens up prospects for careers combining technical management skills, managerial abilities and strategic vision in an international environment.
The practice of two foreign languages is at the heart of the programme. Future graduates will be able to carry out their duties in French, English and a second foreign language (including German, Spanish, Italian, Russian or Polish) and will possess the business culture of the areas concerned.
This is a professionally-oriented course with a very high level of international exposure, thanks to the extensive use of languages and work placements in companies.
Skills acquired
Languages and written communication: external communication: knowledge of advertising strategies and methods; press releases, online press releases; knowledge of internal company communication media, reports and summaries; synthesis and translation of technical and legal documents; understanding and drafting of contracts, agreements, activity reports, etc.
Oral language and communication: ability to speak and express oneself in public easily, clearly and rigorously in French, English and any other foreign language studied as part of the degree; ability to adapt to an audience; ability to take part in professional negotiations, particularly in a bi- or multicultural environment.
Culture: management of intercultural situations in economic, political, legal or sociological contexts; knowledge of behaviours to play a real interface role in commercial operations and decision-making processes.
Mastery of technical tools applied to management: mastery of diagnostic tools and strategic decision-making, international trade and the marketing, human resources management and financial tools inherent therein
Behavioural and interpersonal management: used to working as part of a team; ability to adapt to new environments and situations, demonstrating creativity and initiative; ability to listen, engage in dialogue and debate.

In M2, students complete a minimum 16-week work placement, preferably abroad, starting in April. The internship is validated by the writing of an internship dissertation and an oral presentation.

International students are admitted on the basis of their application and an interview. Campus France applications are considered for M1 only.

The Master 2 Applied Foreign Languages – International Business and Strategy is available as part of a Continuing Education programme, a Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) programme or a Validation of Professional and Personal Acquired Experience (VAPP) programme.
For European students undergoing initial training, registration fees for national diplomas are set annually by ministerial decree. In 2026, they will amount to :

There is also a Student and Campus Life Contribution of €105 in 2025/2026. This contribution must be paid by students not receiving a grant to cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr
