Presentation
The Master 2 Finance in Corporate Control and Finance (CFE) prepares students for positions as financial directors, financial controllers, treasurers, financial communication officers, auditors, management controllers, etc. Prudential regulations and new risks relating to deficiencies in internal and external controls have boosted demand for skills in these areas: management controllers (performance measurement and management, auditing and risk control).
This specialised second year ensures that students have a particularly high rate of professional integration into jobs in line with their chosen specialisation.
Objectives
Based on a judicious combination of theoretical and practical teaching provided jointly by research professors and professionals, this master’s degree enables students to deepen their knowledge and their professional practices so that they can work as finance experts in financial analysis and fund management for the Financial Analysis and Asset Management (AFGA) speciality, and as financial controllers and financial directors for the Corporate Control and Finance (CFE) speciality.
During the year, students prepare for and pass two professional certifications: in Excel VBA (TOSA) and in English (TOEIC). Students also take part in a range of conferences, events, challenges and workshops to enhance their knowledge, skills and expertise.
Examples include participation in the PEEL entrepreneurship workshops, SST “Health and Safety at Work” certification awarded by the Red Cross and recognised by INRS, participation in themed research study days based on the work of CEREFIGE’s research professors, or themed round table discussions in partnership with the DFCG association, and the Nextwise portfolio management competition.
Skills acquired
The aim of the Controlling and Corporate Finance programme is to :
solid theoretical and practical knowledge of management control and corporate finance,
developing the technical, methodological and human skills needed to manage an organisation,
improving diagnostic, forecasting and decision-making skills in the financial field.
Further study after M2
Students who so wish may continue their studies in a doctoral programme (selection prior to enrolment). The research initiated in M1 and M2 CFE can be continued in Master 2 “Consulting and Research Professions” in conjunction with the CEREFIGE laboratory.
