Presentation

Although innovation has long been recognised as a key factor in a company’s success, it is still important to understand it in its entirety and to learn how to manage it, in order to make it a real driver of business performance.


Objectives

The aim of this Master’s programme is to provide a transversal and global vision of the innovation process within an organisation. If a more strategic vision is adopted, it will enable the multiple facets involved in the innovation process to be taken into account, such as creativity, the financing of innovative projects, project management, marketing adapted to innovation, etc. The aim is to train future managers to oversee innovative projects, with a clear and strategic vision of what innovation is, while enabling them to interact with the various functions within the company:

  • Managing and financing industrial and technological projects, from design to
    industrialisation
  • Managing the transition from idea to market
  • Developing companies’ capacity to design innovative products, services or processes

  • Supporting companies in their innovation process
  • Carrying out forward-looking studies

Skills acquired
  • Situate your role and mission within an organisation so that you can adapt and take the initiative.
  • Analysing and summarising data with a view to its use.
  • Develop a critical argument.
  • Use the methods and techniques of day-to-day organisationalmanagement to prepare and implement organisational decisions.
  • Master the knowledge of the various management science disciplines involved in an innovation project: strategy and organisation, change management, project management, marketing applied to innovation, financial techniques applied to innovation, intellectual property law, strategic intelligence.
  • Mastering management tools, approaches and techniques: project engineering, market research and marketing plans for innovative products, strategic planning, team leadership, change management, strategic intelligence, management of creativity techniques, etc.
  • Mastering the various stages in the innovation process

PACE OF TRAINING

The Master 2 in Global Innovation Management, which is available as an initial or continuing training course,takes 1 year to acquire the skills in innovation management that companies are looking for.

This is a two-semester, 360-hour modular course comprising 9 credit-bearing teaching units, leading to a MASTER degree.

4-6 month full-time placement from January to the end of September.
Professional dissertation defended in June or September.

International

Conditions of admission

The Master 2 MGI welcomes a wide range of profiles, both scientific and managerial, with at least a 4-year higher education qualification:

  • Master’s degree 1 in management / economics / other disciplines
  • Graduate of top engineering schools
  • Holder of a doctorate
  • Holders of equivalent foreign qualifications

Eligibility is decided after examination of the application and an interview with a panel of judges (focusing mainly on the applicant’s career plans and motivations).

Registration fees

For European students undergoing initial training, registration fees for national diplomas are set annually by ministerial decree. In 2026, they will amount to :

  • 254 euros for masters

There is also a Student and Campus Life Contribution of €105 in 2025/2026. This contribution must be paid by students not receiving a grant to cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr
